Doctors in Monterey County went on strike Tuesday morning in front of the county health department in Salinas, protesting the firing of one of their colleagues.
The doctors claim Dr. Cris Carillo was dismissed for advocating against cuts to prenatal care.
Tim Jenkins, a senior representative of the Union of American Physicians and Dentists, stated, “He was retaliated against because he was advocating to stop the cuts of prenatal care in the county.”…
