Fred Fontenot, born October 21, 1931, passed peacefully in his sleep on November 5, 2024. He lived most of his life in Orange, Texas attending North Orange Baptist Church and moved to the Woodlands, Texas in 2016. He was ninety-three years old.

Born to Adam Fontenot and Aries Guillory in Oakdale Louisiana, moved as a young child with his family to Orange where he graduated from Stark High School in 1949. Fred believed in Christ, and he was Christened as a child into the Catholic Church, and converted to Baptist upon marrying is Bride of nearly 71 years, Lois Andrews Fontenot.

While enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, Fred was stationed at Camp Lejeune North Carolina, where he met Lois Andrews, at the Blue Marlin in Kinston, North Carolina in 1951. It was love at first sight, and he knew right then he was going to marry her. Fred married Lois in Trenton Baptist Church on June 11, 1952. Lois has been waiting on him in Heaven, where they are now reunited in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, in perfect health where they will share their love for all eternity…
