Five suspects were arrested on Nov. 5 for allegedly committing a flash mob robbery at the Urban Outfitters store at 7650 Melrose Ave.
Around 1:55 p.m., five male suspects wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and masks entered the store and started grabbing clothing. The suspects pushed aside an employee as they exited the store and fled with merchandise valued at approximately $5,000, police said. Witnesses gave officers a description of the getaway vehicle – a white Kia sedan.
Later the same day, the group allegedly committed a similar robbery at the Nordstrom store in the Westfield Century City shopping center. Patrol officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles Division arrested the suspects after a brief pursuit. They were described as three adults and two juveniles.
