Clay County Mother Charged with Murder in Death of Infant Daughter Due to Suspected Abuse

MANCHESTER, Ky. – After being in the hospital for more than six months, a Clay County mother was charged with one count of murder after her daughter died.

Kentucky State Police (KSP) say that on April 20, troopers in London were asked to help look into “a suspected physical abuse complaint involving a three-month-old female child.”

“Multiple fractures, hemorrhages, and retinal bleeding” were found in the 3-month-old girl when she was taken to Saint Joseph-London Hospital on April 29. She was then flown to the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital in Lexington…
