NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A panel of state lawmakers known as the Senate Bail Task Force is looking closer at bail reform to try and keep dangerous people behind bars.
The task force met for the first time Tuesday, hearing from bond companies, GPS companies and other key figures in the fight.
The meeting came months after Bricen Rivers was released from a Nashville jail on bond. Soon after, he was charged with crossing state lines and killing his ex-girlfriend.
