Ohio to open new juvenile detention facility in Bedford

BEDFORD, Ohio (WOIO) – The state of Ohio has purchased a 79,000-square-foot office building in Bedford for $4.8 million with plans to convert it into a new juvenile detention facility.

The Ohio Department of Youth Services confirmed the purchase and plans, which have been in the works for at least two years, according to Bedford City council records.
