Lone Peak holds off Skyridge in 6A semifinal, 28-21

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 Sports) – The Lone Peak Knights avenged a loss earlier in the season to Skyridge, and are headed back to the 6A championship game.

Kepa Niumeitolu threw two touchdown passes and ran for another, as Lone Peak advanced to play Corner Canyon in the 6A title game next week at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

“It felt great just to play these guys again,” Niumeitolu said. “We lost the first time, so the opportunity to play them again, obviously it was great. So we know we had to get win, so luckily we got it.”
