Sacramento man convicted for catalytic converter theft in Visalia

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 52-year-old Sacramento man was found guilty of a series of high-volume thefts of catalytic converters in Visalia, the Tulare County District Attorney said.

The DA says in three separate instances from March 2020 to September 2020, and an additional instance in July 2021, Sean Michael Pelton, targeted utility trucks in the AT&T service yard in Visalia.

Using bolt cutters to cut holes in the yard’s security fence in each instance, Pelton stole a total of 73 converters.
