A 17-year-old boy with an active arrest warrant for failing to appear in court was arrested Nov. 8 in Rockville while allegedly carrying a loaded firearm and 250 suspected fentanyl pills, Montgomery County police said Friday in a statement.
The teen was charged with possession of a firearm and drugs with the intent to distribute, the statement said.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 8, officers observed the teen whom they knew to have an active warrant in the 5500 block of Besley Court. When officers approached, the teen “took off running and attempted to pull a loaded Glock 17 from his waistband,” according to the statement.
