DENVER (KDVR) — This year, 1,000 families in need won’t have to worry about paying for or mission out on a nice Thanksgiving meal.
The Denver Police Department has partnered with volunteers to bag and deliver Thanksgiving meals to families in need.
“Denver Police officers frequently come into contact with members of our community who are facing significant challenges. While these situations are often quite difficult, our officers always do their best to help with compassion, empathy, and open hearts. Through our partnership with AT&T, Walmart and the Denver Police Foundation, we are proud that we can provide meals for some local families who may not otherwise have one this holiday season,” said Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas.
