Titans Fall in Straight Sets at Cal Poly

Box Score SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women’s volleyball (4-21, 0-15) fell to Cal Poly (18-8, 11-4) in three sets (21-25, 22-25, 21-25 ) on Friday night.

The two squads battled through 21 ties and 10 lead changes before falling victim to a sweep for the 10th time this season.

The Titans fought through six ties and four lead changes in the first set, staying within two of the Mustangs until Cal Poly went on a 3-0 run to take a 17-13 lead. Fullerton responded with a 3-0 scoring run to tie the game 19-19 before taking a 21-20 lead over the Mustangs on a service ace by Laura Williams. Lyla Traylor and Williams posted three kills each in the first set before Cal Poly found the final five points of the set to defeat the Titans, 25-21…
