Boxer Amanda Serrano suffered a gruesome gash over her eye during her defeat to Katie Taylor on Friday.
The injury was caused by an accidental headbutt in the sixth round. Taylor’s jabs kept reopening the cut, making it worse throughout the fight.
Serrano was surprised by the loss, claiming she landed more punches than Taylor.
Despite Taylor’s victory, there were many boos from the crowd. The fight was considered the most entertaining of the night, overshadowing the lackluster Tyson-Paul bout.
According to Jake Paul, Serrano should have been declared the winner, but the judges disagreed.
