Frosty Nights and Santa Ana Winds Ahead Across Southern California

Southern California faces a brisk weekend as a cold air mass lingers through Sunday. Temperatures will remain 5-10 degrees below normal, with clear skies and dry conditions allowing overnight lows to plummet. Freeze warnings have been issued for the Antelope Valley foothills, Ojai, Santa Ynez Valleys, Calabasas, and Agoura Hills, where frost and freezing conditions are expected.

Breezy north winds will impact the mountains and parts of southwest Santa Barbara County, intensifying Sunday and Monday nights. A weak to moderate Santa Ana wind event is forecast Tuesday through Thursday, bringing warmer, drier weather to the region.

Residents should prepare for chilly nights and keep an eye on changing forecasts as frost may extend to additional areas.
