Lady Vols stay perfect with track race against Liberty

Talaysia Cooper poured in a career-high 33 points to help the Lady Vols keep the Flames at bay, 109-93, and the team now has 10 days to transfer defense in practice to a game.

“Something, we talked about post-game, the answer really has to come from them, because I promise we do practice half-court defense at length,” Tennessee Coach Kim Caldwell said. “We talk about it. We do scouts. We know the actions they’re going to run, and we get out there on the floor, and we almost just don’t do it. That’s going to be a heavy point of emphasis over the next 10 days.”

Caldwell can provide some tough teaching moments after a win instead of a loss and has plenty of time to do so. The Lady Vols don’t take the court again until Nov. 26…
