SPARTANBURG, S.C. — (Wofford Athletics) The Wofford College football team held a 17-13 lead at halftime, but The Citadel rallied with 17 unanswered points in the second half to come away with a 30-17 win on Saturday afternoon at Gibbs Stadium. The Terriers had three turnovers in the fourth quarter.

Wofford is now 5-6 overall and 3-5 in the Southern Conference. The Citadel is 5-6 overall and 3-5 in league play. Ryan Ingram led the Terriers with 103 rushing yards on twelve carries, while Amari Odom was 14-of-21 passing. The Bulldogs were led by Cooper Wallace with nine carries for 84 yards and a touchdown.

“The bottom line is you can’t turn the ball over, you can’t give up big plays, and you have to get off the field on third down,” said head coach Shawn Watson. “We didn’t do that in the second half. You can’t turn it over when you have drives going and you have to give yourself a chance on offense. They hit some big plays on us on critical third downs that kept drives alive. I love our seniors and what they have given us. They have been a big part of everything we have been doing the past two years and I can’t say enough about them.”…
