OVERNIGHT – SUNDAY: Saturday started with sunny skies and highs in the 50s in some areas, so it was a nice day. After 8 PM, scattered rain showers started pushing into the Devils Lake Basin, turning into a wintry mix, with some snow even, during the late evening hours. The showers will move east into Lakes Country overnight, and it’s not until around 8 AM that any leftover precipitation moves out of our region. By that time, expect about a quarter-inch of rain and less than 0.5″ of snow at most in the northern areas.
Besides the precipitation, skies will be mostly cloudy across the northern region, with breezy southwest gusts up to 30 mph at lows in the upper-30s. Then during the afternoon hours, cloud cover will break up and move out of our region. This means sunny skies for most of the day. Combined with highs in the mid-to-upper-40s, Sunday will end the weekend on a nice note.
MONDAY: The workweek will start with some sunshine and lows in the low-30s during the morning hours. By the afternoon, clouds will build from the south, leading to mostly cloudy skies by the evening. Winds will come from the south-southeast, gusting up to 25 mph at times, and temperatures will reach the low-50s in some areas. Overall, Monday will be a nice day. However, overnight into Tuesday morning, rain will lift into our region, leading to a dreary night commute.…
