The community in Northwest Baltimore has been experiencing unsettling levels of violence as an alarming number of senior citizens have been prey to a succession of carjackings, with the latest incident occurring this past Friday when a 62-year-old woman was menaced with a firearm and had her car stolen shortly before midnight.
Just a day before the latest carjacking, a 79-year-old disabled man was assaulted by two teenagers who took off with his SUV in an attack, leaving him with shoulder pains. The Baltimore Police Department followed the stolen vehicle with their helicopter until it crashed, resulting in eight teenagers being detained. However, only two, aged 15, were arrested, and the other six received medical attention and were released to their guardians, as reported by WBALTV.
