SHORT-TERM FORECAST
You will want a sweater early Sunday, but temperatures climb quickly.
High cirrus clouds mix with sunshine, and we warm into the low and mid-70s by the afternoon.
Warm, humid air returns to Alabama Monday on a south wind. The mornings won’t be quite as cold: lows in the 50s and highs in the mid-70s.
MORE RAIN ON THE WAY
The remnants from tropical system Sara will traverse the Gulf of Mexico Monday and then be pulled northward along the Gulf Coast to meet a cold front. Deep, tropical moisture will provide beneficial rainfall to the southern third of Alabama on Tuesday.
We still expect showers and a few t-storms across Central Alabama, but higher instability levels will be further south…
