Tragedy struck a popular New Orleans parade on Sunday when two separate shootings left two people dead and 10 injured.

The first incident occurred during a second-line parade in the St. Roch neighborhood. Eight people were struck by gunfire, with two later succumbing to their injuries.

About 45 minutes later, another shooting took place at a nearby intersection, leaving two more victims dead and a third in stable condition.

Police are investigating both incidents and have not determined if they are related. No suspects have been identified or arrested.
