City’s first ‘fully inclusive’ playground slated to open in Greenville

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A new addition is coming to a park in Greenville. City leaders are in the process of building Brooks’ Playground, which they said will make the area more accessible for all families.

They said it’ll be the city’s first fully inclusive playground, accommodating children with disabilities.  Brooks’ Playground is near the intersection of Woodland Way and Lakehurst Street inside Cleveland Park.

“What every parent wants for their child is their child to have opportunities and success and what every person wants, no matter who you are, is to feel accepted and that you have a place to be included. I think this provides a real opportunity for that to happen,” Executive Director of the Meyer Center for Special Children Meta Hendricks told 7NEWS…
