HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Henrico County Police Animal Shelter will host a pet adoption event in December, hoping some of its animals can go home with a family for the holidays.
The adoption event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the shelter, located at 10421 Woodman Road in the Glen Allen area. The goal is for the animals that are currently in their care to find a home so that they can spend the holidays with a family.
Those who are interested in pet adoption will need to bring a photo ID. For the convenience of taking a pet home, a collar and leash or carrier is suggested, but not required.
There are two sponsors for the spay and neuter surgeries of the animals — the William A. Harrison Foundation and Furbish Thrift. The Henrico Humane Society will be sponsoring the adoption fees…
