Sarasota County’s two public drop-off sites for residential vegetative storm debris will close permanently at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, the county announced Monday.

The two locations, at Rothenbach Park and Jackson Road Transfer Station, have seen a steady decrease in use, the announcement noted.

After Nov. 23, residents may still dispose of storm debris at the central county landfill at 4010 Knights Trail Rd., in Nokomis. Applicable disposal fees will apply…
