This New Orleans music legend will appear on a postage stamp. See who, the design.

Renowned New Orleans composer, pianist and producer Allen Toussaint will be honored with his picture on a postage stamp in 2025, the U.S. Postal Service announced.

His stamp was designed by a postal service art director, Ethel Kessler, based on a photograph taken by Bill Tompkins in New York City in 2007. The Postal Service released a preliminary rendering of the Toussaint stamp, which depicts a close-up view of his smiling face, but the design may change.

The “forever” stamp will mail a first-class letter indefinitely, and will cost 73 cents.
