Micron set to build massive parking garage

Micron Technology is poised to build one of Idaho’s largest parking garages as part of its massive $15-billion site expansion.

The City of Boise granted a $75-million building permit for a new southwest campus parking garage. The permit is the fourth most valuable permit issued in the City of Boise so far this year, according to BoiseDev research, behind two other large Micron projects and the new Element/AC Hotel building in Downtown Boise.

The garage will stand just four stories tall, but will total 903,301 square feet. Each deck will cover roughly five acres of land. The garage will include space for about 2,813 vehicles, according to a City of Boise spokesperson. A separate garage on the northwest quadrant of the campus will include space for another 753 cars…
