Patrons can now come to the taproom at Florence Brewing Company, located at 200 S. Pikes Peak Ave., in Florence, and select tags from The 2024 Giving Tree. This year, 34 families with 70 children have applied for The Giving Tree, a program to assist families with gifts for children of Fremont County. Each tag has the child’s age and interests along with a list of items that each child needs (clothing, boots, etc.) and wishes for (toys, electronics, bikes, etc.).

Unwrapped items are due back to the brewery by Dec. 9. The staff and volunteers also spend a day purchasing additional items so that each child receives presents in a fair quantity. To accomplish this, monetary donations can be made at the brewery as well.

In August, the first annual Santa’s Par-Tee golf tournament was held to kickstart the fundraising efforts early. There will also be a Mug Club Silent Auctions where all proceeds go directly into the fund. People can also sign up to volunteer to sort, shop, or give items to families at https://florencebrewing.com/givingtree/. Florence Brewing Company is also accepting donations of wrapping items and non-perishable foods for the families. If you are able to help in any way possible this holiday season, we implore you to give where you live…
