PULLMAN — For the first time in two months, Washington State will be coming off a loss this week. And for a team that has struggled mightily away from home, the road is where the Cougars will remain. The Cougs will be in Corvallis on Saturday as Wazzu and OSU tangle on The CW at 4 p.m. So how are the Beavs doing this season?

Attached at the hip in conference realignment, the WSU and OSU seasons have progressed in opposite directions. Wazzu enters 8-2, disappointed about losing its long-shot chance at the CFP with the loss at New Mexico. The Beavers, meanwhile, are reeling.

After starting 4-1, Oregon State has lost five in a row. The Beavs have been woeful offensively and were just shut out 28-0 this past Saturday to a 3-7 Air Force team (recap in the video above). To get to a bowl, the 4-6 Beavers would need to beat the Cougars this week and Boise State next…
