It’s not just bargains at the big box stores to celebrate on Black Friday — Oregon State Parks is offering free day-use parking at 23 locations, including a popular destination outside of Estacada.
The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is offering the free parking the day after Thanksgiving to encourage Oregonians to enjoy the outdoors. Popularly known as “Green Friday,” the event, on Friday, Nov. 29, has become a tradition for many families nearly as beloved as fighting over that 40%-off toaster.
State parks will waive day-use parking fees in all 23 locations that are open and charge for parking (Fall Creek and Nehalem Bay are currently closed)…
