COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC/AP) – The South Carolina mother convicted of killing her sons nearly 30 years ago by rolling her car into a lake while they were still strapped in, will be up for parole this week.
Susan Smith, 53, was sentenced to life in prison in 1995 after a jury decided not to sentence her to death for the murders of her sons, Michael, 3; and Alex, 14 months.
