MetroConnects breaks ground on $32M campus near Mauldin

MetroConnects, a metropolitan sewer subdistrict serving Greenville County, recently broke ground on its new $32 million campus near Mauldin.

Located at 1151 W. Butler Road, the new facilities will be built to hold MetroConnects’ expanding operations. As one of the largest wastewater collection providers in South Carolina, the organization serves over 100,000 customers and maintains 1,500 miles of infrastructure in the county.

MetroConnects service area and staff doubled over the past three years due to the regionalization of seven wastewater collection systems in Greenville County. Carol Elliot, general manager of MetroConnects, said that growth created a need for more space.

“The new campus will increase our efficiency by bringing all services, operations, and equipment together in one location,” Elliot said. “We look forward to continuing our commitment to Greenville County, serving an expanding community, and meeting the needs of the future.”…
