A family in Garden Grove, California, are in mourning on Monday as just days after returning from a family trip to Hawaii a father and son were killed in a horrific car accident while traveling on interstate 405.
The family of five was traveling last week on the freeway just south of Crenshaw Boulevard when a speeding driver slammed in their car from behind causing the car to flip , according to the California Highway Patrol. Gregory Coughlin, 57, and his 24-year-old son Luke Coughlin would tragically pass away from injuries sustained during the accident.
The mother, daughter and son who were also in the car at the time of the accident managed to survive the crash . Speaking with local ABC7 Eyewitness News Shane Coughlin, 21, said of the recent family vacation it was a trip he will never forget.
