After losing 28-14 to Georgia Southern on Oct. 19, JMU’s (8-2, 4-2 Sun Belt) odds to win the Sun Belt East fell with the Dukes in the conference — dropping to fourth in the East after the loss.
But after three straight wins, JMU has positioned itself to make a late-season push for the East. On Saturday, the Dukes beat division-foe ODU in a must-win matchup. Behind strong defense in the second half, JMU defeated the Monarchs 35-32.
