People who carry the newly available TARTA Card or pay for bus trips using smart phone apps now will be charged only up to maximum daily, weekly, and monthly fares, after which additional rides will be free.
The “fare cap” concept the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority activated Monday for fixed-route bus passengers “will allow regular customers to receive the benefit of a long-term pass without all of the up-front cost,” the authority said.
The $3 daily maximum fare is equivalent to a round trip at TARTA’s regular $1.50 fare and also matches the price of the agency’s day pass; the $15 weekly and $45 maximums match TARTA’s weekly and monthly pass prices…
