PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – Boeing issued a layoff notice on Monday, announcing plans to let go of more than 2,000 employees in the Pacific Northwest.
The layoffs include 50 employees in Portland, according to the layoff notice under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.
In a letter dated Nov. 15 to Oregon Rapid Response Coordinator Michael Welter, the aerospace giant said “the Boeing Company has made the difficult decision to reduce its workforce. This decision is expected to result in the permanent layoff of approximately 50 employees at the company’s Oregon location.”…
