Tyler Jackson, 25, and Courtney Watson, 24, are being held at the Anderson County Detention Center after their November 8 arrests on 17 counts of animal cruelty and three counts of failure to bury. Deputies responded in October to a Lindsey Street home where a neighbor reported the couple had abandoned multiple dogs without food or water. Investigators found 14 dogs in dire conditions, including emaciation, untreated wounds, and severe neglect; three dogs were found dead. A search warrant led to the rescue of the surviving animals.
