Propane leak, cigarette cause RV explosion at PA Turnpike service plaza: troopers

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — One person was hospitalized after an RV exploded at the Blue Mountain Service Plaza on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Tuesday morning.

Pennsylvania State Police troopers responded to the plaza in Hopewell Township around 4:55 a.m.

Troopers on scene told CBS 21 someone sleeping inside their trailer woke up to light a cigarette, and due to there also being a propane leak, the RV caught fire…
