WORCESTER — Cheers and applause from 76 newly sworn-in U.S. citizens filled the Worcester Public Library during a naturalization ceremony on Tuesday morning, last held there in 2019.
Starting at 11 a.m., faces that looked like they were at first unsure of the process relaxed into smiles and even laughter as the ceremony unfolded, especially as at the end of the swearing-in oath, the group also repeated “you may be seated” — perhaps a sign of their eagerness to be U.S. citizens.
