CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Elliot Cadeau quickly got off the floor after diving for a steal on the perimeter, igniting a fastbreak opportunity on Friday for North Carolina against American.
Cadeau made it past halfcourt with three dribbles and dishes a no-look pass to his right for Jalen Washington. Washington gathered himself with one dribble before going for a two-handed dunk, and the closest player on the court to him was the assisting Cadeau, who jumped at the same time as the center in celebration of the play. Both players skipped to the other end of the court, clapping and yelling from that sequence as the team increased its second-half lead to 32.
