LUCAMA — Lucama Elementary is celebrating 100 years of changing students’ lives. Students, families and school staff marked the significant milestone with a fall festival Friday.

“Even though this school is 100 years old, it’s alive,” said Lucama Principal Sonya Grice. “It’s still thriving and successful.”

The fall festival theme was “Thankful for 100 years.” Grice said staff have been giving out free books to students about the 1920s so they can read about what it was like 100 years ago…
