MAUMEE, Ohio (WTVG) – Maumee City Council members voted unanimously Monday night to throw out a proposal to charge residents a monthly fee to cover sewer repairs.
The previous plan would have charged homeowners $12. Instead, council members are endorsing a recommendation from the city finance committee to allow homeowners to apply for a grant or loan to cover up to 100% of the cost to fix sewer issues in their homes.
