One of Taiwan’s most popular fried chicken restaurants, J&G Fried Chicken, is opening its second U.S. store and first Orange County location at the Irvine Spectrum on November 23, 2024. Huang Jinchang founded the original J&G Fried Chicken in 1973 as a street food operation on Jiguang Street in Taichung. Today, the brand has 70 stores in Taiwan and 430 internationally. The LA and OC locations are in partnership with 85°C Bakery Cafe.

On the menu is Taiwanese-style fried chicken prepared in custom-designed fryers. Find dishes like fried chicken sandwiches offered in a plethora of flavors (original, spicy, yuzu, and sweet and sour), along with popcorn chicken, chicken cartilage, and chicken tenders accompanied by Asian-inspired dipping sauces. Non-chicken items include fried oyster mushrooms and a smoked salmon sandwich.
