HARLINGEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — The City of Harlingen held an open house on Monday and allowed community members to give their input on the future of the city’s comprehensive, downtown, and parks plan.

These plans will serve as the city’s roadmap for the next 10 to 25 years.
“Previously, we had announced that we received a $300,000 grant in order to conduct this comprehensive plan,” said Mayor Norma Sepulveda. “This is going to encompass not just a comprehensive plan focused on the entire city, but also a special emphasis on our downtown area and our parks.”
Sepulveda believes talks over the plans will continue into next year before they are put into motion…
