Beaumont — Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick tells KFDM//Fox 4 News there are no contractual roadblocks preventing Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas from negotiating with Doggett Ford Park on a contract to move the event from downtown Beaumont to the entertainment venue off Interstate 10.
Mardi Gras decided not to renew its five year contract with the City of Beaumont to hold the event in the downtown area. Mayor Roy West has told us it wasn’t the city’s decision but entirely in the hands of Mardi Gras of SETX.
