ASU Offers Military Tuition Assistance for Students

Alabama State University, in its on-going effort to assist active-duty military personnel, service members, veterans and their dependents, has established the ASU Military Tuition Assistance Program.

ASU’s Dr. Tanjula Petty, who serves as the vice president for Institutional Effectiveness, Strategic Initiatives, and Transformation, has helped implement the program. She noted that the University has provided educational opportunities to members of all of the branches of the armed forces for decades and this latest initiative advances those efforts.

“Alabama State University greatly cares about its students who have an association with the armed services,” Petty said. “To honor these students and to remain a viable education opportunity for active-duty military personnel, service members, veterans and their dependents, the University is offering a $250 per semester hour educational tuition assistance cap in support of their professional and personal self-development goals.”…
