Dry, breezy conditions as weak Santa Ana winds warm us up mid-week

SAN DIEGO (FOX5/KUSI) — We have shifted back to offshore flow and some periods of breezy Santa Ana winds are expected over the next few days.

East to northeasterly winds will pick up to 35 miles per hour in the mountain passes and foothills, but generally will stay below advisory level. With the dry and windy conditions, fire danger is elevated for the region.

Afternoon temperatures will also start to warm up gradually through Friday with Thursday, which is likely the warmest day west of the mountains this week.

Daytime highs for Wednesday will top out in the low 70s for beaches, mid-70s for inland valleys, low 60s for the mountains and mid-70s for the deserts…
