WESTMINSTER, Md. — A new officer joined the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, and he has four paws.
The sheriff’s office said Finn, a yellow Labrador retriever, traveled from Washington state to Pennsylvania to complete his explosives certification before taking a short trek down to Maryland.
“Finn and his handler, DFC Hessler, have graduated from the Explosives Academy at Iron Rose K9 (in Pennsylvania), where they trained and earned certification on the detection of 18 different explosive compounds,” the sheriff’s office said…
