Williamson County head lice policy sent back to policy committee after public pushback

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) – The decision to keep students with head lice in class instead of sending them home is still up in the air for Williamson County Schools.

During the Williamson County School Board meeting on Monday evening, board members decided to table the policy and send it back to the policy committee after pushback from the public.

Williamson County Schools’ current policy is that students with head lice are required to be picked up from school as soon as possible, but some board members want to change that and allow students to finish out their school day…
