Albuquerque man charged for fatal shooting in San Miguel County

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man is behind bars following a deadly shooting at a birthday party in San Miguel County. New Mexico State Police said 18-year-old Jeremiah Salazar fatally shot 23-year-old Gabriel Rivera on Friday after an argument turned physical.

Albuquerque man with lengthy criminal history back behind bars

Police said they arrested him a mile away from the incident and he was still carrying the gun. Salazar is facing a charge of second-degree murder.
