CARLSBAD — For the second year in a row, the Granite Hills High School football team made the 50-mile trip to Carlsbad for a semifinal playoff game.

And for the second straight season, the Eagles broke Carlsbad’s hearts, beating the Lancers 22-16, in the San Diego Section Division 1 semifinals.
