Oven accident causes carbon monoxide poisoning in Willimantic

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTNH) — Three members of a family from Willimantic were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning after a mistake baking bread Sunday morning, according to the Willimantic Fire Department.

A fire crew was called to 5 Gifford Ave at 11:35 a.m. Sunday for reports of smoke in the building and two unconscious people. Crews did not see any smoke when they arrived and it was quickly determined to be a carbon monoxide incident.
