Napa Valley High School Cross Country: St. Helena’s Schlatter to represent county at state meet

St. Helena High sophomore Corinna Schlatter was the only Napa County cross country runner to qualify for the state meet during Saturday’s North Coast Section Championships at Hayward High.

For the Saints’ Division 5, individuals not on the five teams that qualified needed to finish in the top 18 to advance. Schlatter placed fourth in 19 minutes, 26.6 seconds — within 15 seconds of the winner of the 142-runner race.

St. Helena, which finished 11th out of 20 teams, also had seniors Tilly Dodd (43rd, 22:33.4) and Loma Henry (26:15.4), freshman Ruby Davies (26:44.3) and sophomore Penny Williams (28:29.0)…
